The first cat boots were a lockdown experiment - my second pair of hand-made boots and third or fourth pair ever. They were based on an illustration of a boot featuring my cat Ziggy. Quickly sketched onto a piece of paper, it sat in my bag for several months before being rendered with a little more care on my iPad. I had originally designed the boots in black on black because I thought black and white would be far too garish!
They received so much love on Instagram that I decided to create a small run of professionally made versions. As soon as that plan was in action I realised I couldn’t stop there. The Etta boot (based on my other cat) was born - and eventually to come will be even more cat themed designs.
