The Ziggy is finished in a beautifully soft off-white leather, with a black suede cat and cut-out eyes. The pale-grey suede Etta sits upon a soft black leather, with immaculate grey topstitching and black embroidered eyes.

With all leather products there may be very slight natural imperfections in the stretching of the soft leather. These are minimal and a beautiful part of using natural products.

Sizing

The boots run fractionally small. If you are normally a half size order the size up. Otherwise, stick with your usual size.

For example - if you're a size 5 (EU38) order size 5, if you're a size 5.5 (EU 38.5) order a 6 (EU39).

  • The story

The first cat boots were a lockdown experiment - my second pair of hand-made boots and third or fourth pair ever. They were based on an illustration of a boot featuring my cat Ziggy. Quickly sketched onto a piece of paper, it sat in my bag for several months before being rendered with a little more care on my iPad. I had originally designed the boots in black on black because I thought black and white would be far too garish!

  • They received so much love on Instagram that I decided to create a small run of professionally made versions. As soon as that plan was in action I realised I couldn’t stop there. The Etta boot (based on my other cat) was born - and eventually to come will be even more cat themed designs.

MATERIAL: Soft and comfortable leather, looks like picture but leather did fold a bit as soon as we got it out of the box. They dont look as straight and stiff as pictured.

SIZE: I did size up based on website instructions.
My first and only time using them, left shoe was perfect but right side left a red line on my foot and it was numb after 20min. My bone hurt after taking them off. I have never had this experience before - in my life. Wish I had the right foot a size bigger while keeping the left as is - but it is what it is. Anatomy is weird and everyone is different.

HEIGHT: For being this high they arent killers. I have no tolerance to high heels and these were ok. Day to day I wear mostly barefoot, flats or sneakers.

In summary, love hate relationship with them. Follow the size chart provided. Don’t be super scared of the height.

JOCIE: I suggest the size chart includes lenght, width and volume measurements to avoid as many size issues as possible.
